01What a cookie is here

A cookie is a small file the browser keeps for us. We use them for four things only: keeping you signed in, remembering your theme, storing your cookie choices, and counting page views in aggregate.

We do not use them to follow you across other sites, and we sell nothing to anyone who would.

02The categories

Essential cookies make the account work. They cannot be switched off, because without them there is no way to know you are signed in.

Analytics cookies count how features are used, in aggregate. They are optional and off until you accept them.

03Advertising

We set none. There is no advertising cookie, no pixel, and no third-party tag on any page of this site — including this one.

04Changing your mind

Use the panel above at any time. Your choice is stored in lb_consent for six months, after which we ask again.

Clearing cookies in the browser also clears the record of your choice, so the banner returns on your next visit.

05Third parties

[CDN] sets a bot-management cookie on every request, which we cannot disable without turning off protection for everyone. [ANALYTICS] sets its cookies only after you accept the analytics category.

Both are listed by name in the table below and appear in the subprocessor list on the legal page.

When we add or remove a cookie this page and the table below change with it, and the version number above increases. Material changes are announced by email.
