Upload a folder once. Loopbox listens to every file — drums, leads, keys, pads — reads its genre, BPM and key, and keeps a backed-up copy off your SD card. Then you search for a sound instead of remembering a folder name.

Why this exists
Dropbox will store your samples. It won't find them.
Drive, Dropbox and iCloud give you a bigger folder. You still name it, nest it and dig through it. Loopbox reads what is actually inside each file.
What you do now
Folders called new folder 3, kicks FINAL, from laptop 2019.
The right sound is in there. You audition forty files to reach it.
One SD card failure and a decade of one-shots is gone.
Cloud drives sync the mess. They never read it.
With Loopbox
Every file tagged by instrument and genre the moment it lands.
Type Cmin 124 punchy. The list narrows as you type.
Object storage with versioned restores. The card is a copy, not the original.
Nothing to name. Nothing to file.
What you do now
Folders called kicks FINAL. Forty auditions to find one sound. One dead SD card and it is all gone.
With Loopbox
Every file tagged by instrument and genre on arrival. Type Cmin 124 punchy. Stored off the card, restorable.
What it does
A library that knows what's in it.
Loopbox listens to every file once. After that you stop naming folders and start describing sounds.
Auto-recognition
Each upload is classified by instrument — kick, snare, hat, perc, break, lead, key, pad, vocal, FX — and by genre. No naming convention required.

Fold stereo to mono for the sampler, set bit depth and rate, or run a file through lo-fi — without opening an editor.
Mono ↔ stereo, bit depth and rate, bit-crush and saturation — all WAV PCM out, no editor needed.

Every sample lives in object storage, not on a card in a gig bag. Share a collection as a read-only link when someone asks for the kit.

Sound tools
Fix a file without opening an editor.
The sampler wants 16-bit mono at 44.1 kHz. Your file is a 24-bit stereo bounce. Convert it in the browser, save it as a new sample or replace the original, and the analysis re-runs on its own.
Channels
Fold stereo to mono, or duplicate mono to dual-mono stereo. Output is always WAV, PCM.
Quality
Set bit depth to 16 / 24 / 32 and sample rate from 44.1 to 192 kHz, with the output size shown before you commit.
Lo-fi
Bit-crush, rate-reduce, saturation and wow & flutter — auditioned against the dry file before you render.

How it works
Three steps, then never again.
01
Drop a folder
Drag any audio folder onto the upload page. Nested folders are flattened, and the paths you already made become tags.
02
We listen
A worker reads tempo, key, length and timbral character, then names the instrument and the genre. Usually under five seconds per file.
03
Search anything
Type Cmin 124 punchy. Filter, audition inline, drop the result into a collection, download it for the card.
